The moment I walked in I saw and felt that this whole place was something to come out of a thrifty magazine, i’m not sure if the Hoardhouse has been featured in an article in a thrifty magazine, but if it’s not, it should! I walked in and smelled the old vintage goodies, and my eyes wandered around the whole room, wall to wall was covered from top to bottom with collector items, vintage galore of clothes, and records beyond your reach and curiosity.
Not only do you find yourself cuddling up to this place the moment you walk in, you get an “at-home” feeling from the people that walk in and out from this place, and customer service that gives you a full warm heart with the help that they give. Whatever you’re looking for the people find a way to keep you satisfied and welcomed to grab whatever you can find your heart to love. One person to include in this great journey of a store, is Richard Wohlfeil who will find whatever your heart aims to hear on a record. Whether it’s a 45 hit single, or a rare 78. He’s got all your needs right here at the Hamtramck Hoardhouse located on 10022 Jos Campau Hamtramck, Mi.
The pictures that I took do not do this place justice! You have to see for yourself what the store has in stored for you. If you’re lucky you’ll find a rare item that cannot be traced back from anywhere but there. There will be something that will catch your eye or ear. You’ll also notice the music spinning something great at all times, there’s no break in between shopping and listening to some soul records of the classic artists of the 60s.
If you are looking to get rid of your junk, they’re ready to make it someone else’s treasure. So put your things on consignment now or sell what you’ve got!
